The Standard High Line

LEBLANCSTUDIOS presents its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY, debuting on the official CFDA calendar at The Standard, High Line. The collection examines emerging social and economic roles through a framework informed by hierarchical structures reminiscent of feudal society.

The collection is organized around a reinterpretation of character archetypes set within a society structured by established hierarchies. The runway debut included a performance titled “Ongoing Quiet Performance,” during which models walked along a runway featuring a salt-dusted surface. This segment integrates a scripted monologue and choreographed gestures to address themes of power and economic exchange. The performance script includes the following lines:

“My tale starts as a wager beyond time. It’s an obsession, it’s fashion.
I’m walking with style on other people’s salary. Do not point at me, please, it ain't polite to point.
I’m asking for your money, I’m not begging for it. Can’t you see the power in my gaze?
If you don’t have it for me, it’s okay, maybe you’re just like me: a good business person.
If that’s okay for you, I am okay with that.”

Fall/Winter 2025 utilizes a range of materials including denim, wool, leather, and nylon. Denim pieces are treated using dye processes developed in collaboration with a BSCI-certified washhouse in the Dominican Republic. Wool fabrics are offered in varying weights and are presented in palettes of gray, brown, and black. Brown leather, repurposed from automotive materials, is used to create oversized jackets, while the overall color scheme features tones of brown, blue, and marigold.

Design details include double hems composed of two layers of reversed lining with an unfinished edge, as well as exposed elastics at jacket cuffs. Several garments feature unfinished collars with raw edges and high-waisted, tailored trousers that reference historical styles. The collection also includes a combined polo/trench design, alongside peacoats and distressed suits with visible inner layers. Additionally, one hand-felted jacket is constructed from two layers of nylon ripstop processed through felting techniques.
